Let's talk about Vitamin D....

Most people with low Vitamin D don’t feel ‘ill, but they do feel… ‘less’.
Less energy, less sharp, heavier legs and workouts that feel harder than they used to do. That 3pm slump that won’t budge that somehow lasts all day and is resistant to coffee. Sound familiar?
Vitamin D isn’t just about strong bones.
It supports your immune system, your muscles, and your mood. Low levels are pretty common, especially in the northern parts of the UK where the sun seems to make rather brief appearances up here!
In Spring and summer, so between March and October, about 15 minutes of midday sun on bare arms and legs a few times a week is enough for fair skin but darker skin needs a longer.
From October to March the sun sits too low to do the job and very little UVB rays reach us effectively, which means no Vitamin D production. For half the year, the sun simply isn’t enough, and that assumes some good sunny days in summer. ☀️
The NHS recommends 400 IU daily (10mcg) through winter as a daily dose. Many adults benefit from a little more, but there is an upper safe limit, so don’t go crazy!
Vitamin D is cheap (less than £1 a month), it’s evidence-based and it could make a real difference to how you feel, work, and perform.
Summer sun. Winter supplement. Simple.
