Low Energy - More Coffee?

A lot of people think low energy means they need more caffeine, but more often than not they just haven’t eaten properly. ⚡

One of the most common things in modern lifestyles is running on convenience food instead of good solid fuel:

☕ Coffee as a "pick me up"

🍫 Quick sugar fixes

🥐 Highly processed snacks

🍽️ Large late-night meals

if you've ever done it, you'll feel the predictable outcome:

🧠 Brain fog

📉 Afternoon crashes

😴 Low concentration

☕ Reliance on caffeine

🍭 Constant cravings

Your bodies energy isn’t just about the calories, it's also about quality of calories and stability of delivery.

When your blood sugar constantly spikes and crashes, you end up feeling mentally and physically flat throughout the day.

If you find yourself in this cycle, you can easily turn it around by doing some simple things consistently:

✅ Eating enough protein (1-1.5g per kg of body weight)

✅ Including more fibre (30g per day ideally - 2 shredded wheat have 6g)

✅ Drinking more water (about 1.5L per day)

✅ Reducing ultra-processed foods (ideally "zero" portions!)

None of this is magic, but from a biological perspective your body will work better when it’s fuelled properly.

It also doesn't means always eating “perfectly”, as life often gets in the way. If you can, then great, but the effective change means just becoming a little more intentional with the basics.

Less surviving on stimulants and more supporting steady energy throughout the day.
